We enjoy coming up with different voices for the characters, and our evenings always end up with a lot of screaming, shrieking, and giggling, all thanks to this lovely book. So beautifully illustrated too! I've had the rare opportunity to interview Peter Lerangis here in Singapore about the first book in the series - that was such a beautiful evening with him. :)GatheringBookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04477710897574769648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7589148622999627689.post-27008167422880142792014-07-09T02:51:15.426-07:002014-07-09T02:51:15.426-07:00I'm a huge fan of Kate DiCamillo and enjoyed F...I'm a huge fan of Kate DiCamillo and enjoyed Flora and Ulysses. That one WAS good, wasn't it. She really hit a nerve. And Belly Up is hilarious. And I enjoyed Mouseheart. And the Legend series. And the Seven Wonders. I guess I need to give Flora another shot. The first time I tried reading it it was via an ebook and ... I really did not care for it at all. Totally bored. But hello, it's a NEWBERY and on our state list. Must find something I can say I liked about it. Can't figure out what it is I'm missing. I am so behind on Rick Riordan books. I have them for school, of course. But the dumb thing is I have three-fourths of a shelf devoted to his books at home and I haven't read ANY of the Heroes and only the first Kane Chronicles. I really liked them. It's that weird "if I own it I procrastinate reading it" thing.Ms. Ohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00961883284227010403noreply@blogger.com
